NEURORECOVERY CLINIC

The MGH NeuroRecovery Clinic serves patients recovering from acute neurologic injuries including subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, stroke, encephalitis, seizures and spinal cord injury.

OUR MISSION

RECOVERY FOCUSED CARE

The MGH Neurorecovery Clinic is a multidisciplinary and comprehensive program with the mission of providing post-ICU clinical care and facilitating rehabilitation/recovery for patients after acute neurologic injuries including subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, stroke, encephalitis, seizures, spinal cord injury, as well as critical systemic illness with neurologic complications.

Neurologists treat ongoing neurologic complications of acute neurologic injury. Treatment is followed by close assessments of the risk of neurologic re-injury, poor recovery, or secondary decline.

Rehabilitation Therapists provide in-clinic consultation and educational support. Pharmacists, Dieticians, and Clinical Psychologists provide medication, nutrition, and psychological in-clinic counseling.

Social Workers provide coordination of care and help with navigating the care system. Patient Services Coordinators work closely with attendings and other staff to synergize NICU outpatient efforts.
