Dr. Lin is the Director of the MGH NeuroRecovery Clinic and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. In his clinical role, Dr. Lin provides comprehensive care to patients with acute neurologic injuries, including stroke, brain hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, seizures, and spinal cord injury. 


Dr. Lin is also the Principal Investigator of the Laboratory for Translational Recovery (LTNr), which is dedicated to advancing the understanding of brain mechanisms underlying post-stroke recovery, particularly focusing on improving arm and hand movement. The LTNr conducts various clinical-research studies, including the Stroke Motor Rehabilitation and Recovery Study (SMaHRT), which investigates the natural progression of arm and hand motor recovery post-stroke. Findings from the SMaHRT study have contributed to numerous publications in esteemed medical journals over the past five years. Dr. Lin's laboratory has achieved significant success in securing national funding, having received over six grants in the past three years from diverse sources including federal agencies, private entities, industry partners, and philanthropic organizations.
