Partnership between MGH and USSOCOM

Apr 20, 2022

Partnering with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to study blast-related brain injury in Special Operations Forces.

CNTR investigators Dr. Brian Edlow and Dr. Yelena Bodien led the formation of a new partnership between MGH and USSOCOM, who together launched a comprehensive study to identify the effects of repeated blast exposure on Special Operations Forces Service Members. The study, called ReBlast, is a key component of USSOCOM’s initiative to optimize cognitive performance, battle readiness, and career longevity in Special Operations Forces personnel (https://www.massgeneral.org/neurology/news/2022-04-20-socom-martinos-collaboration).
