Dr. Giatsidis joined the BrainGate team in 2018. He is currently a senior resident in Neurology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Rome, Italy) under Prof. Marina Diomedi, MD, and holds a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship position at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA). Throughout his medical training and since graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery at “Vita-Salute San Raffaele” University (Milan, Italy) in 2013 under the guidance of Prof. Giancarlo Comi, MD, his interests have always been focused on both the treatment of stroke and its subsequent burden on the quality of life of patients. Driven by the desire to pursue effective, innovative and technologically-based strategies to help physically-impaired stroke patients, Dr. Giatsidis’ wish is to help develop and translate the BrainGate technology into clinical practice.
