Hyunjung Kwak is a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, studying machine learning methods for clinical decision support, especially in intensive care units. Prior to her PhD, she completed Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering in Korea and the UK. She also worked as a senior data scientist at Deloitte and LG. She specializes in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to data in the medical and dental fields. She is interested in practical and fair AI health systems for society and social determinants of health. Her current research focuses on predictive modeling with minimal data and bias in clinical practice.
