Dr. Pranav Nanda is a neurosurgeon specializing in functional neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical practice centers on the evaluation and individualized surgical management of epilepsy, movement disorders, facial pain, and psychiatric disorders.
Born in Boston, Dr. Nanda studied mathematics at Stanford University, graduating with honors, and he received his medical degree from Columbia University with induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed neurosurgical residency and functional neurosurgical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on innovative surgical neuromodulation.
As co-director of the Brain Modulation Lab, he leads a translational research program applying network-level and structural insights to inform precision neuromodulation and expand the field's capacity to restore and improve patient function and quality of life.
