Dr. Tamara N. Kimball, MD, trained in Medical Genetics at Mexico's Instituto Nacional De Ciencias Medicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubiran, joined the McCance Center for Brain Health at Brain Care Labs in 2023. As a T32 research fellow, her research aims to identify genetic factors influencing cerebral small vessel disease and cognitive decline post-intracerebral hemorrhage. Dr. Kimball's interests focus on the role of genetic diversity in complex cerebrovascular diseases, improving polygenic risk score precision, and applying genetic insights to guide preventive and pharmacological interventions.
